I was born and raised in Dallas and received a BS in Communications from The University of Texas in Austin, and a Masters in Professional Counseling from Amberton University. My career began as a flight attendant for Delta Airlines and, after 12 years of flying, I decided to stay home and raise my twin daughters. We moved from Dallas to Austin in 2008. In 2013 I was reunited with an old high school friend 30 years after we graduated from high school. We dated long distance, and after my daughters graduated from high school, I decided to move back to Dallas to be close to him and family. Tim and I married in 2018 and enjoy a healthy and loving relationship together, along with our blended families. Between us we have four children who live in Dallas, Austin, and New York City. We also enjoy living life with 2 beloved dogs, our Golden Retriever Abby, and our English Cream Retriever Callie. In my free time I enjoy running, yoga, and traveling.
In addition to running my private practice, I am also actively involved with a non-profit agency that assists women and children who are transitioning from abusive home environments and in to healthy and productive lives. I am also a part of another non-profit that assists under-represented children in the court system who have found themselves there as a part of neglect or abuse.
